NOLE Tank Competition Announces Winner

The final round of NOLE Tank was held at FSU Panama City with the top three teams pitching their business ideas to a panel of judges composed of local entrepreneurs and business experts.

The top three teams pitching in the final round included STRudent, an application for students to save and earn money through use of a student-to-student marketplace, Beach Ready Rentals, a vacation rental management and service company and Syndri Software - Pic’d, a social photo application.

The Pic’d team claimed the top pitch and walked away with $1000 for their winning business idea. Team member Bipol Alam said, “The NOLE Tank competition is what motivated us to work together and seriously consider creating Syndri Software and making it an actuality instead of just a dream.”

“It has been a great experience working with student entrepreneurs throughout the NOLE Tank competition. The student’s excitement for their entrepreneurial aspirations is something the BIC is proud to encourage and foster,” said Pamela Kidwell, director of the Business Innovation Center.

FSU Panama City Students were given the opportunity to enter their business ideas into the first ever NOLE Tank competition hosted by the Business Innovation Center (BIC) and sponsored by Florida First Capital Finance Corporation.

The panel of judges included local attorney, Andrew Levy of Harrison Sale McCloy Attorneys at Law, Jamin Finlaw – Finale Enterprises, Chris Moore – General Dynamics Information Technology and Emmanuel Hernandez – Assistant Professor of Business & Technology at Gulf Coast State College.

Andrew Levy, chairman of the Business Innovation Center said, “The NOLE Tank competition sponsored by the Business Innovation Center provided a great opportunity for students to share their business idea and for them to get feedback on their business plans.”
