PANAMA CITY — Chris Josten took a risk when he began Curiosity Marketing. The move to independence would take him from a position as creative director at another firm into uncertainty as the owner of his own business.
Fortunately for Josten, his venture took hold.
“When we first started Curiosity, we were very successful right out of the gate, but we needed some help as we started our expansion,” Josten said.

PANAMA CITY — In 2010, the San Francisco-style deli Trigo opened in the heart of Panama City’s historic downtown. Six years later, owner Gilbert Hamati is ready to take the next step and open a secondary location on 15th Street, serving Mediterranean-style food in the next few months.
Trigo’s addition is the latest in a series of businesses that have made their start in one of Panama City’s downtown storefronts and found ways to expand.
Panama City, Fla. –Today, it was announced that Jellyfish Health LLC, a health care technology company that makes health care more convenient for patients, staff and physicians, is expanding its operations in Panama City, Florida. Jellyfish Health is creating 100 new jobs at an average annual wage of $70,000. The majority of the new jobs will be focused on software development with an average wage that is more than 200 percent of the current average in Bay County, Florida.
Pamela Kidwell has joined the Workforce Development team at Gulf Coast State College as Director of the Business Innovation Center (BIC). She will help to further support small business initiatives to include working in all phases of a startup and business expansion; as well as, small business incubation.

By winning this award, Scarlett received$5,000 to be applied toward coursework and fees associated with achieving her Certified Economic Development certification.
