PANAMA CITY — In 2010, the San Francisco-style deli Trigo opened in the heart of Panama City’s historic downtown. Six years later, owner Gilbert Hamati is ready to take the next step and open a secondary location on 15th Street, serving Mediterranean-style food in the next few months.
Trigo’s addition is the latest in a series of businesses that have made their start in one of Panama City’s downtown storefronts and found ways to expand.
